BASIC SHOOTING CAMP - School/Team/Club Sponsored
Shot Perfect 6 hour Specialized Shooting Camps are the only shooting camps in the United States teaching a shooting technique based on the results of research, supported by 6 sciences including kinesiology - the study of human movement. Basic Shooting Camps are held at your facility with no cost to Shot Perfect.

The camp begins by videotaping each participant from the free throw line from 4 different angles. Participants then attend a classroom portion of the camp where they are introduced to the Shot Perfect Shooting Technique, the information and the sciences supporting the Shot Perfect Shooting Technique as well as problem identification and proven problem-solving techniques while shooting a basketball. The classroom continues with the REVIEW and ANALYSIS of each student-athletes shooting technique by a member of the Shot Perfect Staff. The REVIEW and ANALYSIS is done individually and as a group to increase and reinforce each participant's ability to identify specific shooting problems and apply the proven problem-solving techniques based on body mechanics while shooting a basketball. Most participants attending the class, almost immediately, are able to accurately identify their own shooting problems and those of other student-athletes and are able to apply the proper problem-solving techniques needed to enhance the student-athletes shooting accuracy and consistency.

Following the classroom portion of the camp participants are INTRODUCED to specific shooting drills, both on and off the court, designed to enhance the Shot Perfect Shooting Technique, shooting accuracy, consistency and shooting confidence. When applied, participants are able to shoot the ball, make the shot and have the ball Rollback to them without having to move, from where the ball was shot.

Much like a baby must first learn how to stand and/or walk before running, a good shooter must first learn how to shot an accurate and consistent free throw before learning how to shoot a "true" and accurate jump-shot.

Participants are INTRODUCED to a "true" jump-shot versus, what Shot Perfect identifies as, a "push-shot" as well as where these higher and lower percentage jump-shots are taken.

Participants are then introduced to basic post moves including an introduction of shooting a proper hook-shot. Participants also learn how to identify their own strengths and weaknesses and where and when their strengths and weaknesses should be used in game situations. They are also taught how to defend others in the post though manipulation.

Learning how to properly shoot a basketball also teaches how to better defend other shooters more effectively, including how to block shots with less chance of fouling.

The camp concludes with a competitive game of Rollback. Pictures are taken and the Rollback Champion Award is presented.
